The Wertheim BG series is among the slimmest and lightest safes in resistance grade II on the market and is the top seller among Wertheim safes. Through innovative construction and the use of highly resistant filler materials, we have minimized the wall thickness. This allows our BG safes to offer maximum interior volume with more compact exterior dimensions.
Security & Certification
The safes in the BG series comply with the European standard EN1143-1 and are certified for resistance grade II. To ensure full acceptance by all insurance companies, we rely exclusively on renowned testing institutes and certifications such as VdS, ECB-S, and VSÖ. This guarantees that no issues will arise with your insurance in the event of a claim due to unrecognized or insufficient certifications.
Design and Quality
The BG models come standard with a high-quality, scratch-resistant coating in RAL7037 Dusty Grey. This ensures the durability of the surface over decades. For special requirements, we also offer custom finishes (standard RAL) to meet any design preference.
With Wertheim’s consistently high manufacturing quality, the BG series stands out with good haptics when opening and closing the door, as well as when operating the locking mechanism.
Function & Features
The safes in the BG series come standard with a cable hole on both the left and right sides. This allows for powering devices like a hard drive inside the safe or transmitting a Wi-Fi signal to the outside. This means watch winders or data backup drives can be operated without compromising security. Additionally, all BG models come pre-fitted with a VdS-certified setup for connecting to a burglar alarm system.
The BG safes come standard with a double-bit lock and two keys. Optionally, you can upgrade your safe with an electronic lock or other lock models. From model BG15 onwards, it is possible to install an electronic lock with mechanical redundancy (Combi B90) and dual locks (two locks used simultaneously).
The door hinge is standard on the right but can be ordered with a left hinge at no extra cost for any model. The external door hinge, a signature Wertheim feature, allows the door to open up to 180°, providing full access to the safe’s interior for easy loading.
Our BG safes are prepared for both floor and rear wall anchoring. The necessary, certified anchor bolts are included.
