Safety classes and fire protection levels are important criteria for assessing the robustness and protection/resistance properties of safes. The safety classes indicate how resistant a safe is to burglary attempts and determine the maximum possible insurance sums, while the fire protection levels define the ability of the safe to withstand fire.

Choosing the right safe depends on your individual needs and requirements. There are different types of safes, including wall safes, deposit safes, floor standing safes and more. Before you make a decision, you should consider what you want to store in your safe and what safety class you need.

All Wertheim safes can be delivered free kerbside in Austria (= to the first obstacle in front of your front door). For an additional charge, you can also order transport to the place of use and professional installation.

The costs of the delivery and installation options must be calculated individually depending on the safe and destination.

Wertheim safes weighing up to 1000 kg must be anchored in order to fulfil the certification guidelines. In these cases, the anchoring material is also included in the scope of delivery. In addition, however, all safes can be anchored as an option.

All Wertheim safes can be anchored to the floor as standard, and many can also be anchored to the rear wall. Additional drill holes are also possible for many models, depending on customer requirements. The anchoring material is included in the scope of delivery for safes weighing less than 1000 kg, but must be purchased separately for safes weighing more than 1000 kg. It should be noted that compliant anchoring must be carried out in a solid part of the building (concrete, brick) with sufficient anchoring depth. Anchoring in screed, lightweight walls, wood, etc. is not permitted. In case of doubt, we recommend contacting your insurance company in advance. Anchoring should be carried out by specialised personnel.
There must be no cables in the anchoring area (the client is always responsible for this). The safe must always be flush with the solid surface to be anchored in order to prevent subsequent tampering with the anchor. Therefore, remove any existing box back panels, skirting boards etc. before installation.
If the safe is to be placed in a box, the plinth must be removed in advance or the base of the box cut out to an appropriate size.
To bring the safe to a convenient operating height, we recommend our optionally available VdS-approved steel plinth. For liability reasons, we cannot offer free-hanging installation on the wall.

If you are transporting the safe yourself, please note the weight of the safe. This varies greatly between models and safety levels. Depending on the circumstances and personal capacities, customers must decide for themselves whether they can manage the transport. Otherwise, we or our partners will of course be happy to help you.

Wertheim safes can be fitted with different types of locks. These can be chosen independently by the customer, although this can also result in longer delivery times depending on the model. Safes from safety grade IV upwards must even be fitted with two locks.

We are happy to help you in these cases. However, please note that safes can also be damaged during emergency openings. Our customer service team will be happy to answer any questions you may have. 

Some defects can be repaired directly over the phone by our customer service team. Otherwise, appointments can be made with our technicians to rectify technical defects.

This depends on the safe you choose. Some safes can be delivered immediately, but if you require customized products, this may take some time.

Wertheim safes are equipped with a door hinge on the right as standard. However, every safe can also be ordered with a left-hand door hinge.
